PACIFICA – vocalist Kika Diama, guitarist John Mata & Jay Donato, bassist/vocalist Ikaika Trujillo, drummer Richard Jumper – individuals who grew/lived/played/danced/evolved in their native land of Hawaii, spent half a year concentrating their energies to create what would be their first “proper” recording. The end product “Transient Colors [EP]“, (available on BigCartel, itunes, and SmartPunk) would reminisce of Circa Survive to Thrice while including diverse singles (“Isolated Black Shell”) to sing along anthems (“Flight of The Rabbit”).

As of March ‘08, Pacifica has relocated to Orange County, California. Since then, they have won Breakthru Entertainments Battle of the Bands, beating out of 23 established bands and gained sponsorship from Battlefield Custom Drums. They have also played Audio Overload and SoCal Rock Revolution Festivals and have opened up for bands such as Finch, Kottonmouth Kings, Lower Definition, Emery, Daphne Loves Derby to name a few.

Currently, they have just finished recording their follow up of ‘Transient Colors’ called ‘The Process of Illumination’. The EP was recorded and engineered by Bret Hudzietz of Farewell Studios and mastered by Beau Burchell of Saosin. With this EP already making waves in the music community, this is surely just the beginning of more to come.
